But when I finally understand, I suddenly think I’m a genius — and stop learning altogether. It’s a strange, tiring swing that I’m only now learning to steady.

These days, whenever life feels too heavy or someone asks us about marriage, we casually say, “I’ll just take sanyasam.” I’ve said it too — mostly out of frustration, not seriousness. But when I started reading about what real Sanyasam actually is in Sanatana Dharma, I realised something surprising: it’s not an escape at all. It’s one of the most disciplined, rarest, and hardest spiritual paths a human can choose. Before any of us joke about becoming a sanyasi, it’s worth understanding what this path truly demands, and whether any of us are really ready for that level of commitment.
